Twitter and micro learning
It it old news, that Twitter is quickly gaining on other large social sites such as Facebook. Jeanne C Meister wrote an interesting short article about people who use Twitter as a training tool. Since Twitter only allows for 140 characters, it is truly a micro learning experience and can be easily updated -or read- with a mobile phone.

One thing which has not been addressed in the article, and which personally worries me most is how Twitter will be able to actually be profitable. Just like Facebook, they are currently painting themselves into a corner by spending much more than they earn. It might just be a matter of time, before 140 characters and no ads become 120 characters with 20 characters of personalized ads.
