Micro learning: German Wikipedia offers book service

Wikipedia Germany is now offering a great micro learning service. With the click on “Add page to book” (German: “Seite hinzufügen”) anyone can create a collection of Wikipedia entries which they then can convert to a book. Of course, this is not necessary pure micro learning, since some Wikipedia entries can be quite long. Still I think the idea is just fantastic and empowers learners to really focus on their interests.

The personalized Wikipedia Book costs just a few cents per page of text and one can also put a personalized title and subtitle on it. My testbook “Voltaire and others” contained 70 pages of text and costs $10.41 or 8 Euros. According to PediaPress, the website which prints the books, other languages will soon follow.
